Manvel has a Masters degree in Environmental Science from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. She has 29 years of experience in sustainability, energy and environment interface issues, including climate change, energy efficiency, responsible supply chain, corporate sustainability, and waste management. She is currently the CEO & Founder of Environmental Synergies in Development (ENDYE), an NGO that is focused on programmatic solutions for the environment. Designing strategic solutions and implementing complete end-to-end solutions, ENSYDE is working on energy, water and waste management solutions. A key program bE-Responsible Initiative in partnership with Saahas, focuses on consumer responsibility and non-bulk e-waste management. Manvel has worked as short term consultant with The World Bank. She is also a Visiting Professor at the Narsee Monjee Institute for Management Studies (NMIMS), Bengaluru, for the last two years. Manvel teaches a credit course on Community Awareness and Responsibility as an Executive. Over the years Manvel has developed extensive business for the carbon funds worldwide, including Climate Change Capital (CCC) and Carbon Credit Capital. Through the several projects that she has reduced over 15 million tones of carbon emissions. Her recent past work experience includes providing technical and content expertise on energy efficiency to non-OECD countries through the International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation (IPEEC), Paris. For over 3 years, Manvel also developed and managed a multi-stakeholder platform on sustainability, as the India Council Director for Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability Council of The Conference Board â€“ India. Manvel has also worked in the past for various organizations in the US including the Princeton Energy Research Institute and Chemonics International, and for 6 years with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), India.
